The flu season is upon us and we are challenged to stay healthy and free from the “flu bug”. Attendance district wide and per building is monitored daily. Our School Nurses and Health Commissioner, Dr. William Hablitzel, are monitoring the flu as well. All buildings in the district today, January 28, 2020. reported attendance rates above 83.8%
Students should stay at home if they are sick and should only return to school if they have not had a fever for at least 24 hours (not using anti-fever medication). Hand washing, covering sneezes and coughs, etc. are good practices to use when trying to avoid getting and spreading the flu.
