The OVCTC Ag Mechanics program is very proud of two, great young men who represented the Ohio Valley CTC FFA chapter at District contest - Lane Martin & Carter Vogler. They prepared well with the help of Mr. Wes Sweet at Ag Pro in Georgetown. Both agreed they felt prepared and faced some tough compitietion last week. Congratulations to those who are moving on. Thanks to Ag Pro in Wilmington for hosting the contest. Thank you to the boys for their hard work and support of our program.
The OVCTC Ag Business students have been busy working on concrete projects, taking care of new baby calves, conducting meetings, and completing their woodworking projects. They have completed their record keeping and will be active in many judging contests coming up this spring!

The OVCTC Early Childhood Education program offers students the opportunity to work with students from preschool through 6th grade. Junior Alexis Palmer is shown working in Mrs. Weeks 5th grade classroom reviewing mathematical skills with students. Providing students time to work in a variety of grade levels allows them to have a better understanding of what grade levels they would be interested in for future careers.
The OVCTC Power Sports Club has been busy of late. Recently, Branson Grooms, a junior from the Ag Mechanics program traveled to Atlanta, Georgia. He was able to race Legends race cars indoors at the state fairgrounds at a monster truck rally. Congrats on a heat win, Branson!

The OVCTC Ag Mechanics program was able to assemble a new bulk feed storage bin for a local farmer. It was a great lesson in following directions and safe tool usage. We appreciate the opportunity to do these types of projects for the public!

The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will have an early dismal, today Thursday, January 6, 2022, due to the incoming winter weather. High Schools will be dismissed at 11:30 AM and Elementary Schools will be dismissed at 12:30 PM. All afternoon/evening activities have been canceled.
