FFA week kicked off Sunday with all of the county chapters getting together for church service and some fun and games afterwards. Thanks to Holy Trinity Church and Father Mike for hosting our big group. Lots of fun playing games and thanks to the Home Place for the great donuts and JT’s BBQ and Isaac Young for doing such a great job on our lunch! The food was great and the fellowship was greater! This year the CTC was able to host the event. Tune in to C103 radio tomorrow from 10-11am to hear our live show. Advisors Mr Brad White and Mr. Luke Rhonemus will be on the air with CTC President Isabella Crum and Vice President Diesel Ferguson! Happy National FFA week and be sure to celebrate with over 1 million FFA members strong; the largest youth organization in the United States!🇺🇸

OVCTC FFA Ag Sales team members of Braxton Burns, Beau Hesler, Cole Hudson, and Trenton Quackenbush competed in their very first ag sales contest last night at Ross High school. Members had to complete a team activity and meet individually to sell a product to a customer. This year, John Deere lawn equipment was selected to be used. Team members gathered information and had to become familiar with financing and selling options and had to know their product. Special thanks to our local Georgetown Ag Pro and salesman Aaron Moran and Jamie Young for helping our team prepare for this event!

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and service of our School Resource Officers and the entire OVSD Safety Department. Their commitment to protecting our students and staff, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring a safe learning environment is truly invaluable.
The OVSD Safety Department is made up of five sworn law enforcement officers, including a Safety Director and four School Resource Officers, all House Bill 318 compliant with 40-hour SRO certifications. With over 120 years of combined law enforcement experience, their expertise spans patrol, corrections, investigations, juvenile probation, SWAT operations, trauma-informed care, firearms instruction, and more.
Our officers aren’t just professionals—they’re members of our community. Many attended the very schools they now protect and have children and grandchildren in the district. They bring a wealth of experience in conflict resolution, problem-solving, and crisis response, ensuring our schools remain a safe place to learn and grow.
After a full year working as a team, they continue to train in firearms, tactics, and communications alongside other law enforcement agencies. Their ability to quickly and effectively respond to potential threats—both inside and outside our schools—ensures that safety remains a top priority.
We appreciate all that you do!

Thank you to our county commissioners for recognizing National FFA Week each year! National FFA Week is celebrated each year with President’s Day week in honor of George Washington’s Birthday. FFA was founded in 1928 and is still going strong - now more than 1 million members! It is the largest student organization in the United States, encompassing all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. OVCTC has been a chartered active chapter since the start of the Vocational School in 1977. Look to celebrate with us this week! Our schedule will be shared and lots of activities will be taking place in our building and community. Be sure to tune into C103 radio on Tuesday the 18th to learn more about our chapter! Agriculture is Ohio’s number one industry with lots of job opportunities for our youth today. And of course remember: if you enjoyed a good meal today, thank a farmer!
