SIXTH GRADE PARENTS: Many of you have seen our sixth grade yard signs lining the school driveway. These signs will be given to students the last full week of school to take home. DO NOT take the signs from the school yard! If your child rides a bus and you would like the sign to come home, you/the parent will be required to pick up the sign on Friday, May 21st from our front office because the yard stakes will be unsafe for bus transportation. You could also plan for your child to be a pick-up that day after school (must send a note if that is not their normal plan), and we can send the sign out with him/her.
If you/family member would like to order extra signs (you only get one free of charge), please complete the order form that is coming home with your child today and return the form to the school with cash or a check payable to T and F Workshop with your child no later than May 14th! Extra signs are $15 each.
Again, order forms for extra signs will come home today! These signs are for in-person sixth grade students ONLY (we are unable to offer these to AVA students through the school).
If an AVA parent wishes to order a sixth grade sign, he/she will need to contact T and F Workshop directly (937-985-6014) and work with the company to get a photo to them and have signs made. AVA parents will need to pick those signs up from T and F in Ripley, Ohio.

Due to technological issues, interim reports that were scheduled to be sent home today will not be printed and sent home until Friday, April 23rd or Monday, April 26th. You may log in to your child’s Progress Book for further updates on his/her grades until interims are able to be printed. Thank you for your understanding!
Congratulations to Dayla Vogler, a 2nd grade student at PES for earning Honor Reader status!! The Honor Reader award is a part of the Accelerated Reader program. It is a popular reading program that is computer-based. Schools use this program to monitor reading practice and progress. In order to become an Honor Reader as a 2nd grader, the student must read and pass the Reading Practice Quizzes with 80% or higher, certify in previous levels through the Star Certification Level, and accumulate 50 points from books on a list of challenging literature that a teacher creates. We are very proud of Dayla for accomplishing this level and earning a total of 50.5 points. Dayla is the daughter of David and Cara Vogler.
