100 Days Brighter at Peebles Elementary? Staff and students enjoy the 100th day of school.
Please follow link for updated district attendance percentages. https://tinyurl.com/rkdyxhw
We continue to monitor our attendance rates. Please remember that students and staff should stay home for at least 24 hours after a fever stops. Hand washing, covering sneezes and coughs, etc. are also good practices to use when trying to avoid getting, and spreading the flu.
PES 100th day of school is tomorrow! If you would like to participate, we are asking that you have your child wear 100 of something on this day! Examples, wear a necklace with 100 beads, wear a shirt, hat, or tie with 100 items painted on (like polka dots, fingerprints, numbers, shapes, etc.) or attached to it (like pom-poms, cotton balls, bows, buttons, wiggly eyes). Be creative and have fun with it!

We have had several positive flu cases at PES. If your child is having flu like symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills, feeling tired, vomiting and/or diarrhea please follow up with your physician. If your child is diagnosed with the flu, your child should stay home to rest and to avoid spreading the flu to other children or caregivers. Please keep your child home from school for at least 24 hours after their fever is gone. (The fever should be gone without the use of a fever-reducing medicine.) A fever is defined as 100°F (37.8°C) or higher.
Ms. Trantow won on a scratch off today. Prizes vary from spending time with friends to gift cards in grades 4 -6. Students earn these incentives by going above and beyond in academics or behavior. In the near future PES will be working with the Adams County Juvenile Court to spread the kindness. More to come!
Thank you to Chris Clover, Carlie Cluxton and Kristy Watters with the 4H presentation to the 3rd grade students. If any interest in 4H or questions contact https://adams.osu.edu/home or call 937-544-2339.

Congratulations to Kierra Scott, Shaelin Trantow, Lily Trantow and Kailesha McKinley for becoming Honor Readers at Peebles Elementary. In order to become an Honor Reader, a student must read, pass the Reading Practice Quizzes with 80% or higher, certify in previous levels, and accumulate 100 points for books on a list of challenging literature that a teacher creates. We are very proud of these students for accomplishing this award.
