Adams County Ohio Valley Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 3, 2026 due to impending weather.

Attention parents, staff, and community members: We are aware of the potential for snow during the day tomorrow and are closely monitoring weather conditions. If conditions change, schedules may be adjusted, including the possibility of an early dismissal. Please take time this evening to review your primary and secondary bus drop-off plans, transportation arrangements, and childcare options. We will continue to communicate updates through our social media outlets as decisions are made. Thank you, and have a wonderful evening.

Way to go NAHS Cheerleaders - The ladies traveled to Orlando Florida over the weekend to compete among the best in the nation. Coming home in the top 10. For their first ever trip pushing their skills and challenging themselves bringing home 6th in the nation is an awesome over the top accomplishment. Way to go ladies. Your district and community are so proud of your determination and representation.

The ADAMS COUNTY OHIO VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT will hold a rescheduled REGULAR BOARD MEETING on Monday, February 2, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. at the WEST UNION HIGH SCHOOL located at 97 Dragon Lair Dr. West Union, Ohio 45693. The meeting will be in the ROUND ROOM.

Congratulations to the Peebles Elementary Band for being awarded a $5,000 grant from South Central Power Company to purchase more instruments to allow students to join the band program at PES!

The Adams County Ohio Valley School Board meeting has been cancelled for tonight January 26, 2026. The board meeting will be held Next Monday evening February 2, 2026.

ACOVSD offices will be closed under a Level 2 or 3 County Emergency.
We will open under a Level 1 or lower.
If a higher level lowers during the day we will be open the next day.

The Battle in the 740 that was scheduled to be played Saturday, January 24th has been canceled due to the forecasted weather. North Adams Varsity boys were scheduled to play Huntington at 2:00 - that game has been canceled. The event will not be rescheduled.
