The Adams County Back to School Health Fair will be held on August 12, 2023, from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm at the Adams County Christian School (across the street from Walmart).
NEW ADDITION: A sensory-friendly portion of the event will be held from 10:00 am - 11:00 am providing lower lighting and decreased noise/sound designed to create a welcoming environment for families of children with autism or other disabilities that create sensory sensitivities.
The event will have health screenings, child immunizations, games, food trucks, giveaways, school supplies, gift cards, parent information classes, and MUCH more! All children and teens from Adams County are invited and welcome to attend.

We are excited to invite your student to our summer programming this year, Discovery Camp. Students must have been enrolled in Kindergarten through sixth grade during the 2022-2023 school year. Discovery Camp will be held for six full days this year on June 6th-8th and June 13th-15th from 9:00-3:00 at West Union Elementary School with students able to attend one camp or both. Discovery Camp is no cost. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided daily and there is no cost for meals. In subsequent years, the location of the camp will rotate to other elementary buildings in the district. We hope to be able to offer shuttle bussing to West Union Elementary for North Adams and Peebles. Statement concerning Social Media Threat.
On Wednesday evening February 22, 2023, a former student at WUHS shared a meme on social media with other students causing concern. District SRO staff were immediately notified along with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, who were already working the case. The student was taken into custody and with the help of the ACSO, CPS, and Shawnee Mental Health, all determined that there was no threat to the school or anyone else. Due to reposting by those who received the original post, along with adding additional text, there have been further concerns about the safety of multiple schools in the district. District SRO staff and the ACSO continue to monitor the situation and there is no current threat to students, staff, or buildings.
