The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. We delayed earlier today; however, after closely monitoring the weather a decision was made to close tomorrow for student safety. If able, students will complete work virtually as an online learning day.

After several entries from all across the district, the results are in and there is a tie for the winning snowman!
Congratulations to kindergarten student Kinleigh Stout and Pre-K student Harper Schwallie! Both students were selected winners and have won a pizza party for their classes with the Superintendent!

Parents/Guardians,
As we prepare for the possibility of inclement weather next week, we want to ensure that our students are equipped to continue their learning from home if we experience a calamity day.
Students in grades 2-6 will be bringing their Chromebooks home, so they have access to online resources and assignments in case we need to transition to remote learning. We encourage you to help them keep the devices charged and ready for use. Once we return to in-person learning, students will be required to bring both the Chromebook and charger back with them.
For our younger students in pre-school through 1st grade, teachers will be sharing important information and virtual learning resources through their regular social media platforms that they use for school. Please keep an eye out for updates to ensure your child can stay engaged with their learning during any unexpected closures.
You can find important information in the infographic regarding scheduled live google meets that our teachers will have with their students if we do have calamity days moving forward. Additionally, you will also find an infographic regarding how to use Google Classroom if that is the platform your child's teacher will be using.
If you would happen to have any questions, please contact our office, and we would be glad to help!

There will be no school on Monday, January 20th.

Give Parker a challenge in Math, and you will find out real quick that he is something special! Parker continues to set the bar high in Math! Congrats on getting a perfect score on your weekly math computation!

Our students are continuing to have fun in the snow!

Important Update: Transition to Virtual Learning After Snow Day #6
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This message is to share information regarding ACOVSD’s plans for virtual learning. If we miss school on Thursday, Friday and next Monday, the district will transition to virtual learning starting on Monday, January 13th.
To ensure that all students can participate in online classes via Google Classroom, it is essential that they have access to a device. If your child does not have a working device at home, we will be offering a Chromebook pickup at the school from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 9, 2025 . If we are closed Friday, January 10, 2025, you may stop by the office from 8:00-3:00 PM. Pre school parents will not have to access a device to complete work during virtual learning days.
Our district will continue to monitor weather and road conditions over the weekend. In the event we are not in school on Monday, January 13, 2025, students will be participating in virtual learning through the Google Classroom platform. Upon returning to normal school operation, students will be required to return their Chromebook and charger if they received one from school.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we prepare for this possible shift to virtual learning. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Check out a few more projects that our students have been working on as they enjoy their time in the snow!

Remember, if you've built a snowman, take a picture and send it in to Mr. Seitz or Mr. Brewer!

There will be no school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7, 2025, due to inclement weather.

We hope everyone has enjoyed their time off! School will resume on Monday, January 6th. Here are the menus for the month of January.

While we are all enjoying our Christmas break, Mr. Brewer and Mr. Seitz thought it would be a great idea to make some surprise home visits today to help showcase our outstanding staff and students for the 2nd 9-week grading period!
Congratulations to all and keep up the great work! We are extremely proud of you!
