The big day is here! Grant McClanahan, David Raines, MaRhea Unger, and Isabella Crum have all been working hard and putting in countless hours for this very moment! This is the day they represent Ohio in the National FFA Livestock Judging Contest! The late nights, memorizing terminology, time, and overall dedication these four individuals have given to make themselves better is bar none. To date, after hundreds of oral reasons and classes marking cards and preparing, they are prepared to do their best! Parents, school staff, industry partners, stockman, alumni, and Ohio friends: here is a big THANK YOU for your support and investing in this group! The well-wishes, guidance, and compliments have been absorbed by each of them and we know they will do the best that they can. After the contest today, results will be given on Friday, but for now….. GO BUCKS and Ohio Valley FFA!

OVCTC FFA forestry team places 4th in the state! Top 5 state winning teams receive a banner. OVCTC is proud to win their second forestry banner ever in the history of the school! Students had to timber cruise, calculate board footage, identify trees by leaves, nuts, and twigs, pace and shoot azimuths in a compass course, and identify wood products and forestry equipment. The team was also first in the district and Isabella Crum, Beau Hesler, and Luke Parks were first, second, and third in the district respectively. Thanks to Hocking College for hosting this event! It was also great to see former alumni of the Ag Business program, Ethan Beekman, as a Hocking student and recruiter! Team members: back row left to right:Beau Hesler, Drew Kreml, Luke Parks, Cole Manning, Trenton Quackenbush, Cole Hudson, Michael Malott. Back row left to right: Kayla Hawes, Isabella Crum, MaRhea Unger, Hannah Hauke, and Alyson McCann.
