
We are very proud of our Early Childhood Education "Field Day" crew - Mrs. Hoop and the ECE students put in a lot of work to support the activities and fun events for the West Union Elementary School students this week! Thank you for your dedication and hard work!


Juniors in the Culinary Arts Program were engaged in community service this week as they served meals and assisted Senior Citizens at The Willows!


The OVCTC Culinary Arts program took a field trip to Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati last week. This was a great opportunity to learn about international cuisine, participate in tastings of global foods and ingredients, etc...

This is a reminder that tonight, May 8th, starting at 7 pm at Peebles High School, The Adams County Ohio Valley Board of Education is hosting a community forum to meet the candidates who are applying for the superintendent position. We invite the public to attend the question/answer session to get to know the backgrounds and ideas that the candidates might have for our school district. Incredible Day at the OVCTC on Friday! The students in AG Mechanics and Welding were visited by industry professionals from the area. Students enjoyed a full day of hands on Tig welding experience. Thanks to Charlie Schaff from Delille, Ben Whitt from Local 577, Phil Copas with US Tank. Creg Davis and Roy Liston from the Adams County Engineer's Dept and Jeremy and Landon Conn with Pro Mechanical services. We are grateful that local professionals are willing to invest in our students.

The students in the OVCTC CNC Machining Program took time to visit Stober Drives, Inc. in Maysville, Kentucky, this week! This was an excellent opportunity to see local job openings in the machining industry!


The Ag Mechanics Seniors got a chance to make a house call last week! Great to help out getting these outdoor power equipment items up and running. Thanks for thinking of our students


The OVCTC FFA Ag Skills Team advanced through district comp to compete in the State Ag Skills competition help at Wooster ATI Ohio State University Campus this month. The team was challenged in 12 stations. It proved to be a difficult and challenging contest. This trio is sure to gain experience and make another state run as Seniors. Team members are Nic Courser, JT Graham & Jaden Williams.


The OVCTC Ag Mechanics Juniors all got a raise! They completed Man Lift certification towards the credentials needed for graduation. Great job to the crew!


It is with great excitement that the Ohio CTC PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) Committee announces the winners for the “Spotlight” Board for both 3rd nine weeks and 4th nine weeks! Their names are displayed on a special board for all to see! These are students that have exhibited outstanding behavior in their programs in the following categories: Professional, Proficient, Productive. They could be recognized for any of these types of positive behaviors: following directions, positive language, acts of kindness, present and on time, honest, on task, following safety rules, reporting safety rules, reporting safety hazards, using equipment appropriately.


The students in the OVCTC Culinary Arts Program have done an amazing job with their cake decorating lessons and created some beautiful desserts for Easter!



The Ag Skills team has been fortunate to receive some help from great friends of the program as they prepare for their next competition!Thanks to all involved, the OVCTC staff and the private businesses who have helped prepare our students for the upcoming State Contest. Good Luck to our OVCTC Ag. Mechanics students!


The OVCTC staff hopes that all prospective students (current sophomores) will join us for our Open House Event on Wednesday, March 29th. The Early Childhood Education program has made the Kona Ice truck available for you to purchase a sweet treat while visiting the OVCTC tomorrow night!


In February, 8 schools from the area attended the District 9 Ag Skills CDE. The contest consisted of 12 timed stations that student worked through then the judges scored the students accordingly. Thank you to the members of the community who donated materials and in person as judges. The OVCTC FFA's Ag Mechanics team was comprised of JT Graham, Jaden Williams and the contest high individual, Nic Courser.
The OVCTC Ag Mechanics team will move on to the State Contest on March 31st. Good luck!


This week, School Resource Officer, Tom Putnam, came to speak to the OVCTC World History class students about his time in the military serving in Berlin, Germany, during the Cold War. It was an awesome opportunity for students to hear from a "primary source" details about the Cold War! Thank you to Mr. Crump for lining up a wonderful guest speaker for our students!
