This week, OVCTC FFA members attended District leadership training at Miami Trace! Members participated in leadership activities and games while working closely with State FFA officers. Thanks to the Miami Trace FFA chapter for the pizza and for hosting this event!
The OVCTC Auto Tech juniors have successfully earned their OSHA General Industry safety card and industry credential. Congratulations!
Very proud of our OVCTC students in their efforts to honor Veterans with events yesterday and today. Student leaders from the FCCLA, FFA & SkillsUSA chapters hosted a Veterans Day program that included a keynote address by Mr. Rick Bell on Tuesday. Today, all students honored our area veterans with a parade!

These students had do develop a resume, cover letter, fill out a job application, conduct a mock interview, and then write a follow up letter afterwards. Special thanks to our very own CTC History teacher, Mr. Allan Crump, for judging Division 2 for our sub district!

Last week, during the final day of the National FFA Convention, the OVCTC FFA Chapter was up early to celebrate the accomplishments of Douglas Harper as he received his American Degree. Congratulations!

Day 3 of the National FFA Convention brought a trip to a popcorn factory, Not Just Popcorn. The OVCTC FFA Chapter visited the Indianapolis Zoo followed by a great meal and trip to the The World's Toughest Rodeo! The students have done the Blue and Gold Proud!
Day 2 at the 2021 National Convention brought the OVCTC FFA to 2 sessions with keynote speakers. The students enjoyed the pre session dance party. The students were looking great in Blue and Gold!

The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will hold their Regular Board of Education Meeting this evening Monday October 18, 2021, at the OVCTC beginning at 6pm. The meeting will be also be streamed on the District’s YouTube Channel https://youtu.be/01dTDAz291M
The OVCTC Ag Mechanics Program and Pioneer Power Sports Team member Branson Grooms brought his No. 7 dirt legend car to the shop for a real life measurement lesson. Students were asked to record measurements on Ride height, Toe and caster/camber. The support of the class will hopefully help Branson finish this season strong. Thanks to Cody Coday and Trevor Moore for the construction of a new slag catch barrel for our shop.
Special thanks to Mrs. Joy Bauman for working with Mr. Rhonemus and the OVCTC Ag Business Program to secure a grant from the Southern Ohio Ag Community Development Fund! These dollars went to the purchase of a walk in freezer which the Ag Business program can use as the students have the beef and pork they raise on the farm processed!
