Congratulations to Dayla for earning Honor Reader status!! The Honor Reader award is a part of the Accelerated Reader program. It is a popular reading program we use at school. This program to monitors reading practice and progress. In order to become an Honor Reader, a student must read and pass the Reading Practice Quizzes with 80% or higher, certify in previous levels, and accumulate 100 points for books on a list of challenging literature that a teacher creates.

Thursday, May 4th is our last "Read for a Bead" date on the calendar! You can read with members from the high school track team at the elementary shelter house from 4-5 pm. If your child participated in "Read for a Bead" this school year, please have them bring their bracelet/beads to school on Friday and be sure to show them to their teacher. Teachers will enter the bead totals and grade level winners will be determined. Thank you so much for your participation!

This is your invitation for any 2nd-6th grade families to come join us at PES large gym for the 1st Annual Family Folk Dance! Thursday, April 27th. Doors open at 5pm, dancing starts at 5:30pm. Elementary students are $1.00 and non-elementary students and adults are $3.00. All students must have an adult with them. This is for the entire family to join together and have fun! Mrs. Elcook will be teaching and leading the dances (think easy square dancing) and the more the merrier!
Concession will be available. Gym shoes required for dancing. We're excited to see everyone there!
