REMINDER: Math Family Night will be tomorrow, Wednesday, November 17th from 5-6 p.m. in our small gym. Only the parents, students and siblings may attend (no additional family members or friends, due to COVID regulations).
The theme will be an escape room. Each grade level will have a table set up. ONLY families of students in that grade level can visit the grade level's table. Students and their families will have three math activities to complete in order to "escape" their room. When the student/family completes the first activity, the student will receive a small prize. When they complete the second level/activity, the student will receive a slightly bigger prize. When they complete the third activity/task, they will have officially escaped and will have a family picture taken that will be posted on our school's Facebook page.
In addition, during Family Math Night, the Technology teacher, Mrs. Bengtson, and Intervention Specialist, Stacey Camp, will briefly share information to help clarify solutions to the most commonly asked technology questions. A page of prepared notes will be provided for parents. The sessions will begin and end promptly in the Computer Lab. These are the technology session times: 5:00 - 5:20 = Kindergarten/1st grade; 5:20 - 5:40 = 2nd/3rd grades; 5:40 - 6:00 = 4th/5th/6th grades

PES is excited to announce our first 2021-22 community partnership opportunity!!! On November 8, we will start our Achieve for a Bead program. Students will be given a key chain on which to collect beads for reading; the top bead-earning class in each grade level receives a pizza party, the student who earns the most beads in each class will earn Scholastic dollars to purchase books, and the top student in each grade will receive a Peebles Indian shirt!
To earn beads, students can take a book of their choice to the businesses on the attached calendar during the business's scheduled time to read; if the student does not have a book, the business will have some books available to choose from. Each visit/reading session earns a bead! The businesses will have the beads to give to students as they leave each visit.
This program will run from November 8-January13. At that time, students' beads will be tallied and prizes awarded. Help us foster a love of reading and help students earn rewards!!! Get your child(ren) to these local businesses at these times to get started! You do NOT have to go every time or to every business. Choose dates and times or business locations to visit that are convenient for you and your family!!
These are the scheduled times for this month (calendar image attached). NOTE: You must access school website or FB to see this.
