On Thursday, Ohio Means Jobs set up VR stations for students to perform tasks in career simulation.

FFA students spent the day harvesting 101 broilers that they have raised from chicks. Processes include exsanguination, scalding, defeathering eviscerating and further processing. This chicken will be used to feed attendees of the annual chapter banquet. The remainder will be donated to community members in need.

Mrs Rachel Williams took her health classes to the Field Trip Day Hockey Game to root on the Cincinnati Cyclones and learn about exercise science, anaerobic vs aerobic exercises, and coordination and balance.

We had 145 kids meet our first nine week incentive. The incentive criteria consisted of behavior, grades and attendance. All students received a coupon for a free ice cream or bag of chips from the cafeteria.

The PHS Academic Team has started their season at 1-0 with a victory against North Adams on Thursday. Go Indians!

Congratulations to the following students who are the Class of 2025 recipients of The Ohio Governor’s Merit Scholarship: Isabella Crum, Carson Reed, Nick Seas, and MaRhea Unger. This scholarship is renewable for four years of full-time instruction and provides up to $5000 per year at any public or private, nonprofit college or university in Ohio.

Our first Joe Burrow Foundation food drive was a success! We distributed 500 servings of food today to our students and their families. Our next date will be November 21st and we will be adding roughly 150-200 pounds of dry goods to our distribution. If your child hasn’t signed up yet, they are still welcome to.
