A few soccer updates: Reminder the soccer camp tomorrow begins at 9:30 for kids going in to grades K-3rd And 11:30 for kids going in to grades 4th-8th Shin guards are optional for the campers but they need to wear soccer cleats Registration is any time before the sessions begin. If they attended camp last year and did not receive a shirt they can pick that up as well! And If there is any high school boy(this includes incoming freshmen) that is interested in playing soccer this year feel free to reach out to Coach Crothers. Boys conditioning starts Monday July 1st at the high school field and it will be from 6-8pm. You can also email Coach Crothers at stone.crothers@ovsd.us Alumni! The alumni game this year will be held on July 28th at the high school field at 5pm. A former player has had alumni shirts made and if you would like to purchase one you can get in touch with Curtis Jones. His phone number is 937-213-1883.

Adams County Food for All mobile pantry

Due to the excessive heat, youth soccer camp is postponed until next week. Peebles Youth Soccer Camp will be June 27-29 this year. You can register the day of or in advance by email. The email to register is stcrothers@kcu.edu If registering by email we will need: Camper name Parent/guardian name Contact info Camper grade(this upcoming fall) Camper shirt size The camp will be two sessions with K-3 being from 9:30-11 And 4-8 being from 11:30-1 each day The prices are as follows: $20 for one camper $35 for two And $45 for three plus *Please bring water and a soccer ball to camp.

The Adams County Ohio Valley School District will be holding an auction of equipment, busses and real estate property. The auction will be held at 122 S. Main Street, Peebles Ohio (Old Bus Garage) on Thursday, July 25, 2024. The equipment/busses will start to sell at 4:00pm and the real estate will be sold at 5:30pm. High School Office Hours: June 17th-June 21st 8:00am-1:30pm......The office will be closed June 19th June 24-25- 8:00am-1:00pm June 26-July 15....The office will be closed. There will be people in and out so if you plan to stop in please call before you come. If there is an emergency, please email me (Mr. Stephens) or Mr. Appelman and we can make arrangements. Beginning in summer 2024, Ohio has the opportunity to participate in a new federal permanent program called the Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (Summer EBT), also known as SUN Bucks, that provides cash grocery benefits to households with children who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. Another awesome kid! A few words from Coach Myers: Another day, another Indian on the podium!! Samantha Seas’ outstanding high school career ended today at the state meet in Dayton. Sam finished her career on the podium with a 6th PLACE finish in the STATE 3200m RUN!! She also PRd with a time of 11:01! What a night and an incredible end to an amazing running career! Sam was also named All-Academic Ohio! I could not be more proud of Sam and all of her accomplishments! ~Coach Myers

What an awesome athlete and awesome kid. A few words from Coach Myers: Payton Johnson’s outstanding high school career ended today at the state meet in Dayton. Payton finished her career on the podium with a 7th PLACE finish in the STATE LONG JUMP!! She also PRd and set NEW SCHOOL RECORDS in both the 100 and 200. Payton’s new school record in the 100 is 12.35 and 25.64 is her new record in the 200. Payton was 10th in the state in both the 100 and 200! What an incredible day for an incredible athlete!! Payton was also named All-Academic Ohio! As I’ve said all year, I could not be more proud of Payton and all of her accomplishments! Thank you, Payton, for taking me along for this ride the past three years, it’s truly been a pleasure to have a front-row seat to watch you and cheer you on! ~Coach Myers
