The Adams County Teacher of the Year award recognizes outstanding full-time certified classroom teachers who make a real difference. These exceptional educators set high expectations for both their students and themselves, inspiring everyone around them - students, colleagues, and the entire community. They maintain the highest level of professionalism while continuously growing in their craft, and most importantly, they demonstrate genuine care and respect for every student. Help us honor a teacher who transforms learning, empowers students to succeed, and truly makes a difference in our schools!

Congratulations to these awesome students in Ms. Williams' Math Class for scoring in the blue on their beginning of the year Acadience Benchmark Assessment. Scoring in the blue signifies that the student is currently scoring above benchmark! Keep up the great work!

Today in the Library we will be hosting two important meetings:
📘 Annual Title Services Meeting – prior to the PTO meeting
🤝 PTO Meeting – 3:00 PM
We look forward to seeing you there! Thank you for partnering with us to support our students and school community. 💚💛

📚 Every Day Counts for Your Child’s Success! 📚
Attendance Matters – being in school every day makes a big difference. Missing just 2 days a month adds up—and by state definition, a student may be considered chronically absent.
✅ If your child must be absent, please remember to send in a parent note or doctor’s note so the absence can be excused.
✅ The Ohio Department of Education’s goal for the 25–26 school year is to reduce chronic absenteeism to 14.5% or less.
Let’s work together to build good habits now—because Strive for 5, Every Day Counts! 🌟

We are excited to begin using ROOMS, our new communication platform to keep you connected with your child’s classroom and teachers. Please follow the infographic to gain access.
If you are still having trouble gaining access to the communication platform, contact our office and we will be glad to assist!

📅✨ September is Attendance Awareness Month! ✨📅
Showing up matters — every single day! Did you know that regular school attendance is one of the biggest predictors of student success? When students are in school, they are learning, building relationships, and preparing for a bright future. 🌟
This year, each school in the Adams County Ohio Valley School District has an Attendance Banner proudly displayed to remind us of our goal:
✅ Strive for 5 (fewer than 5 absences all year)
✅ Every Day Counts
A special shout-out to the talented students in the WUHS FORGE Lab who designed and created these banners for our schools! 🙌 Their work is helping spread the important message that attendance matters.
Let’s work together to build strong habits, encourage one another, and celebrate the power of showing up. 💪📚

In observance of Labor Day, there will be no school on Monday, September 1st. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 2nd.
We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday weekend!

📚 Attendance Matters! 📚
Good school attendance is key to your success! Did you know that missing just 2 days of school each month—for any reason—can label a student as chronically absent according to the state of Ohio? 😮
If you ever do need to miss, make sure to bring a parent note or doctor’s note to have the absence excused. Every day counts toward your success! ✅

Final Forms: ✅ 100% COMPLETE.
Parents: ⭐ ROCKSTARS.
Office Staff: 💼 HEROES.
Students: 🍧 Popsicles incoming!
We are officially at 100% Final Forms completion, and we couldn’t have done it without our amazing parents and our hard-working office team who helped us cross the finish line.
Next mission objective: deliver popsicles to every single student at NAE.
Thanks for making this a team effort—NAE parents, you deserve a standing ovation (and maybe a popsicle too 😉).
🎉 We’re almost there, NAE Families! 🎉
We are sitting at 98% completion for Final Forms! ✅
👏 That means we are SO close to our goal — just a handful more to go! Remember, if we hit 100% by August 22, every student at NAE will enjoy a cool popsicle treat 🍦🍧🍭 during lunch, courtesy of NAE Administration!
Let’s finish strong and be the first school to make it to 100%! 💯💪
If you have trouble accessing the forms, please call our front office! We will be happy to help!
A huge shout-out to Cruiser’s Diner and GE Aerospace for their generous donation of school supplies for our students! Your support helps set our kids up for success and shows the true meaning of community. 💚
