Ag Business students learned to grind feed and mixed their first ration. They will be learning the Pearson Square and applying it to future feed mixes for their livestock! Hay is baled for the season and looking forward to National FFA Convention this week!

Today our Construction Tech, Welding Tech and AG Mech Classes attended the Union Carpenters state of the art Training center in Grayson KY. A short drive for endless employment opportunities for our Students Thanks to the tradesman who presented today!

OVCTC FFA forestry team places 4th in the state! Top 5 state winning teams receive a banner. OVCTC is proud to win their second forestry banner ever in the history of the school! Students had to timber cruise, calculate board footage, identify trees by leaves, nuts, and twigs, pace and shoot azimuths in a compass course, and identify wood products and forestry equipment. The team was also first in the district and Isabella Crum, Beau Hesler, and Luke Parks were first, second, and third in the district respectively. Thanks to Hocking College for hosting this event! It was also great to see former alumni of the Ag Business program, Ethan Beekman, as a Hocking student and recruiter!

They are also in need of donations of personal hygiene items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, and deodorant. Please donate if you are able!
